  The BraunPrize franchise concept
The franchise BraunPrize is being held as a national competition and will serve as a preselection process for national entries for the International BraunPrize.

This national competition seeks to promote design talent on a national level to make it known at international level. It also sets out to provide support for national design training activities and to highlight the requirements which today's young industrial designers have to face when working in an international context.

The franchise BraunPrize is organized by a national project team The team conducts the national competition independently on the basis of the BraunPrize guidelines and the ICSID-approved criteria for the organization of international design competitions. This means that the team is responsible for announcing the national competition (the "call for entries") and for producing the documents associated with it. All activities are organized in close cooperation with Braun Corporate Design and the International BraunPrize project management function.

Entries submitted for the national BraunPrize will be presented to the national jury who will select the best projects in accordance with the BraunPrize criteria and submit them for the international BraunPrize competition.

These projects will be assessed like all the other entries for the International BraunPrize competition. Photographs of them will also feature as a "national contribution" in the International BraunPrize Exhibition.

The participant who submits the best project for the national BraunPrize will win a trip (comprising flights, accommodation and a visit to the Braun Design department) to the international BraunPrize event which will be held at Braun's headquarters in Kronberg on September 12, 2007.

For the BraunPrize 2007 we have two franchise partners which are Mexico and China.
