  1st jury session from March 14 - 16, 2005
The frist jury session of the BraunPrize 2005 started on Monday 14th March at 9.00 a.m. and ended on Wednesday 16th at 3.00 p.m. at the civic hall in Kronberg (Germany) near the Braun’s headquaters.

We received up to the closing date

666 entries from 50 countries.

In addition we received the 19 best entries from the BraunPrize China and the 19 best entries from the BraunPrize Mexico.

Altogether these are 704.

Taking off the redundant entries (double submissions) we finally end up with 684 projects from 50 countries which were presented to the international jury. This is a new record in the history of the BraunPrize competition. The record set by the previous BraunPrize (558 entries) has been beaten.

During the 1st jury session, the jury members selected the best 70 projects (10 % of all entries) on the basis of the two-dimensional entry documents. These projects will go through to the second round which will be judged on the bases of the design model.

Participants whose projects are selected for the second round were already contacted and asked by e-mail to submit their design models by the end of May. The second round will take place from June 6 - 8, 2005 also at the civic hall in Kronberg (Germany)

The BraunPrize team thanks all participants for taking part in the BraunPrize Competition and wishes good luck for their professional career.
