  Flea Phaeton
The Flea Phaeton is a sensible alternative solution for leisure time away from speedmania and current trends.

Contrary to the other one-horse carriages, like the American Buggies, or Spider Phaetons, this vehicle has not kept its vintage character. The Flea Phaeton redesigns a genre of relaxation experience, attracting a new target group of driving enthusiasts for carriage cruising. This light two-seater, one-horse coach is created for recreation in the nature, away from the cities. It is aimed not only at nature devotees, but also at horse owners who might not have enough space or an appropriate car to carry the coach. Its lightweight and foldable construction allows for simple transportation and storage.

The Flea Phaeton reinvents the conventional horse carriage with rational practicality, creating a new segment for the driving- and nature-fans.

  Finding of the Jury:
This redesign turns a 19th century object into a 21st century product. The jury found the light weight, folding ability and storage aspects of this product especially sensitive to modern life. The reduced, very elegant design led to a recognition for outstanding quality in design.

Further developments should be made for basic aspects such as brakes.
