Bottle Board
The concept is a portable sitting utility that can be used when travelling, at events, concerts and fairs.
Through the combination with a standard plastic or glass bottle as the supporting structure, the Bottle Board creates a small, yet comfortable mobile seat. The Bottle Board is compatible with most of the common soft drink bottles. The board itself is very light, weighs only 160grams, and it is also easy to manufacture. It can be worn with a shoulder strap, or it can be carried around in a bag. By using water and other bottles as the base, it gives the user the impression of using an environmentally-friendly product, because it allows objects such as bottles to be re-used. The Bottle Board is a small and light mobile sitting utility with great inventiveness and personality.

Finding of the Jury:
This is really clever “minimal design”, a clever invention of an occasional seat made from what would be traditionally thrown away or recycled. The very simplistic “re-use” approach is the essence of less is more and not in a purely graphic and visual sense. The jury was surprised by the stability of the structure, both, when full of water or with air, this “provided an element of magic and intrigue”.
The designer should take the project to the next level investigating branding, advertisement and marketing of this concept.
