  Thor
The principle idea behind this design concept is to optimize the use of a low weight pneumatic hammer, particularly its handle.

The handle of the Thor is shaped in soft, fluid lines that surround the whole hammer, meant for maximum ergonomic function. The innovative shape of the handle enables the user to hold the hammer with both hands which results in a better grip, safer use and higher working precision. The overall feel of the product is more user-friendly than the other existing models. Other features also help to support an effortless use. The pivoted air outlet redirects the air not to whirl dust from the ground, the tool lock allows for fast and easy change of tools. The pneumatic connection is compatible with common tools, and lets both left and right handed people operate the Thor.

A slower wear of the tools and a safer, more efficient use is expected due to the better ergonomics and mechanics of the Thor.

  Finding of the Jury:
Thor embodies a thoughtful, elegant and ergonomic design for heavy machineries. It belongs to a product area that does not get enough attention. The two handles allow the use in both vertical and horizontal movements, no matter if you are a right- or left-hander.

Communication and aspects of presentation need to be improved.
