Winner of the 2005 BraunPrize
The guest jurors attending the BraunPrize Forum on September 8, 2005 voted
Jens Andersson with his project 'Rescue Buoy' Institute of Design, Umeĺ University, Sweden
The total prize money amounted to 36,000 Euros – the largest sum ever offered in the BraunPrize competition. The overall winner has a choice of a prize of 12,000 Euros or a six-month internship in the Braun design department.

The other finalists were:
Wa Yao with her project 'Mesh Editor 2D to 3D' from China, she studied at the University of Applied Arts in Hamburg, Germany.
Lynn Borneman with her project 'Animal Factor – Echo Equine' from the Ontario College of Art and Design Toronto, Canada.
Gregory Scott with his project 'Yolk: protictive Headgear for extrme winter sports' from the University of New South Wales, Kensington, Australia.
Adriano B. Galvao with his project 'Easy-XM' from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, USA.
These four finalists can also regard themselves as BraunPrize winners as they receive a prize of 4.500 Euros each. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the prize winners and to thank all the participants.

BraunPrize-winner of MEXICO and CHINA 2005
The winning project from China is: 'Intelligent Workstation Platform at Home'. And the designer is: Yanxun Tang from Tongji University. The official opening of the exhibition of works in the China BraunPrize took place on May 5th in the City Mall in Hangzhou.
The BraunPrize Mexico received 120 entries. The winning project from Mexico is called 'wave'. The designers are: Miroslava and Vanessa Rodríguez Bermúdez from the Centro de Investigaciones en Diseno Industrial de la Universidad National Autónoma de Mexico (CIDI-UNAM).
