BraunPrize exhibition 2005 in Portugal
The Centro Cultural de Belém will show the BraunPrize exhibition 2005 from
May 12 – June 11, 2006 in Lisbon, Portugal
Invitation The Centro Cultural de Bélem and Braun are pleased to invite you and your friends to the opening of the BraunPrize 2005 exhibition on May 11th, 2006 at 22.00h After the official opening the guests are invited to the reception.
Previously, at 18.00h there will be a presentation of the event. The speakers are:
- Antonio de Campos Rosado (Director Exhibition Centre)
- Till Winkler (Program Designer at Braun and Assistant of the BraunPrize Jury)
- Lynn Borneman (BraunPrize 2005 Finalist)
- Henrique Cayatte (President Portuguese Design Center)
The BraunPrize exhibition presents:
- The 24 best international projects with the design-models from 12 countries
- 11 notable mentions as photo exhibition
- The 19 best projects from the BraunPrize China and
- The 19 best projects from the BraunPrize Mexico as photo exhibition.

Additional information: It is worth it to visit the Centro Culturale de Belém in Lisbon because besides the BraunPrize exhibition the "Frida Kahlo exhibition" is shown there, until May 21, 2006.

Launch of the 16th BraunPrize 2007
In March 2006 Braun GmbH will see the launch of the 16th edition of the BraunPrize with the motto
"Design a real future"
This internationally recognised design competition is open to young industrial designers who are still studying or who have graduated within the last two years. In the coming days, some 7000 sets of competition documentation will be sent out to design schools, universities, and design studios all over the world.
Closing date: January 31, 2007 Current industrial design students as well as recent graduates have until January 31, 2007 to submit their product concepts to Braun. The total prize money amounts to € 36,000. The winner of the BraunPrize will receive € 12,000 in prize money or a (paid) six-month internship in the Design Department at Braun. The other finalists will each receive a prize of € 5,000. The remaining prize money will be distributed in the form of special recognition awards at the discretion of the jury.
