The camera ‘granite’ takes into account the wishes and needs of snowboarders as well as the requirements of their environment when they are travelling the slopes or the back-country.
The design allows for easy and intuitive operation, even when wearing gloves and ski goggles. It guarantees high-performance and robustness in all situations and weather conditions. Attaching the camera to the exterior of the backpack, as well as the automatic start mechanism which responds to the removal from the holder, supports spontaneous use of the device. Special features, such as a fisheye lens and a function enabling the processing of captured sequences, help to create films and pictures with special effects.
The camera gives snowboarders the freedom to capture images and moments at any time without having to limit their sports activities.

Finding of the Jury:
This product improves on existing sports photographic technology by effectively allowing snowboarders to capture their experiences with relative ease and simplicity. The rugged design is consistent with the environment and the snowboarders’ aesthetic.
The graphic design of the product requires further refinement as it may present difficulties in identifying and using the different functions.
