  Sealander
‘SEALANDER’ merges the chaise longue bike with the technology of a folding boat which can be used for travel and leisure activities in regions where land- and waterways alternate.

The combination of the two modes of transport allows for flexible adjustment to different environmental requirements and the ability to travel unhindered over long distances. The construction has succeeded in integrating the bicycle frame into the boat structure and allows for dual usage of numerous functional elements. Another important innovation lies in the part, space and weight saving qualities of the product.

Because of the newly gained flexibility, ‘SEALANDER’ allows the traveller to explore previously inaccessible travel routes and freely design his/her own travel experience.

  Finding of the Jury:
This innovative amphibian vehicle provides a well-designed and relatively simple transformation from bicycle to kayak such that both objects express unique identities. The visual look successfully captures the adventures and explorations that the product provides.

The jury had the visual impression that the issue of weight should be considered.
