BraunPrize 1977
The DM 35,000 prize which Braun AG was offering this year to promote young designers and engineers attracted a record 286 participants from 26 countries.
Four projects each picked up a prize of DM 6,300: the vacuum sweeper by Christoph Hoesch, Essen, the cableway and roof module by Ralf Jentsch, Alfred Möller, Bernd Rußmann, Sieglinde Spanihel and Erich Ziegler (Kassel), the ironing system by David Lionel Morgan (London) and the metal-spinning lathe by Andreas Preussner from New York/Krefeld.
Another six projects were given a special mention by the jury.
