  Morphosis
‘Morphosis’ is a bicycle that grows with the user. Its dimensions can be altered easily as a child grows: moving a single element changes its width and height. ‘Morphosis’’ dimensions are designed to adapt to the child’s proportions in the same way that ordinary bicycles would develop from 12, to 16, to 20 gears.

The adjustable components of the bicycle are the seat, the handlebars and the front and back forks. All are made of titanium and are hidden when in their smallest configuration. No matter how ‘Morphosis’ is adjusted, its configuration does not affect the child’s comfort, because it maintains a constant proportional relationship with the size of the user’s body.

‘Morphosis’ is a concept that transforms the classic bicycle idea, offering a new product that is practical, ergonomic and long-lasting. ‘Morphosis’ grows with the user during a very important stage of his/her life, in which recreation and physical exercise are fundamental to healthy development.

  Finding of the jury:
The challenge of innovation is greater when the product to be redesigned has become a classic, with many existing solutions internationally, as in the case of the bicycle. The proposal is a bike with a long life cycle. Taking into consideration the excessive use of natural resources, it contributes to reducing the consumption of materials. Its form and proportions allow easy adjustment as the user grows. The concept is well presented, but should clarify more constructive details.
