I.V. – Buoy
'I.V. - Buoy' is an infusion needle protector for children, providing fixation and protection for implanted needles. The pneumatic structure allows for the handling by different hand sizes, at the same time allowing only limited movement so it does not jeopardize the implanted needle. When an injection is needed, the user can simply release the tightening strip without having to remove the glove.

Finding of the jury:
With minimal technology used, this application serves the intend well: preventing children being hurt while ensuring proper positioning of implanted needle. This proposed solution is a good alternative to the commonly used hard adhesive papers.
