Harmony
The Chinese word "He" stands for "Harmony". The future should be a harmonious one, a society living in harmonious co-existence with nature. This 'symbiosis' is necessary to create a better living environment. 'Harmony' is a humidifier which uses a fern plant as an integral part of its design. Fern is very sensitive to humidity and will die if the air is too dry. At that stage it becomes necessary to use a humidifier in order to save the life of the plant. While doing so we also create a suitable environment for ourselves, protecting the fern also means protecting ourselves. This design can be seen as a small contribution to the necessity of a more harmonious co-existence between humankind and nature.

Finding of the jury:
Pleasant integrated design to hide a functional device in a personal living environment. The high aesthetics address against the current commercial available products with their visual impression of a small home appliance. If the steam generated by the humidifier can be connected to a functional working-principle of selecting a special flower needs to be evaluated.
