Frame
Frame is a new digital camera concept that serves as a small state-of-the-art flexible display scroll that can capture images in a way never seen before. Its functions include: zoom in, zoom out, 360º photos, panoramic, automatic focus and touch screen. Frame features a 3-mm HD camera with integrated OLED technology allowing for thin and flexible displays made from organic (carbon-based) materials that emit light when electricity is run through them. Because OLEDs do not require a filter to change colors (unlike LCD displays), they are more efficient, simpler to produce, and much thinner.
The ability to take pictures of multiple sizes – including panoramic photos, portrait photos or even the horizon at 360º – is made possible by accelerometer technology, something which is now being used by the iPhone. This makes it possible to react to movement using the zoom function.
Frame combines new technologies to create an interface that encourages the user to interact with photography in a different, more human, way while also making it simpler.

Finding of the jury:
Frame is an innovative proposal, for it integrates emerging technological solutions into a new user interface, creating a new user experience and a new way to interact with photography, one that is more social and less complicated for people who love taking pictures. The proposal is in the conceptual phase. The design details still need work and the 3D geometry needs to be refined.
