  Kahuna
‘Kahuna’ is not the first ecological kayak to be made out
of natural fiber composite, but it is unique in its ability to
transform into a tent on land. Everything that is needed
for camping is contained in the outrigger and can be set
up in next to no time. Given that the product has been
designed primarily for hire, quality and user-friendliness
are of vital importance.

The boat is driven with a foot-pedal system and has a
paddle for easy maneuvering. In order to provide ample
support when operating the pedal drive, a foldable seat
was developed which can also be used on land.

The kayak was developed for all water enthusiasts, from
beginners to seasoned veterans, looking for relaxation
and adventure. ‘Kahuna’ is a versatile, environmentally
compatible way of exploring new ground and new waters.

  Finding of the Jury:
With ‘Kahuna’ the user is able to explore the waterways
from a different perspective. The flexible, appealing
and well-thought-out design of the object allows
environmentally friendly use, resulting in a coherent,
nature-related experience.

Nevertheless, the Jury recommends not overstretching
the lightness of the construction to the detriment of the
necessary stiffness.
