Rainer Silbernagel, Director New Product Engineering, Braun

He studied precision technologies, technical optics, electronics and medical technology at the Fachhochschule (Technical Institute) in Frankfurt. He has worked at Braun since 1988 in Product and Industrial Engineering, and has been head of the department since 1995. His special interest in design, together with his technical function, qualifies him to judge functional design.


Anne Stenros, Managing Director Design Forum Finland

She studied architecture in Finland and California. She received a doctorate in Technology at the University of Helsinki in 1992. Since 1995 she has been Managing Director of the Design Forum Finland, publisher of the magazine "Forum Function Finland" and the yearbook "Design in Finland".


Peter Schneider, Director Corporate Design, Braun

He studied Industrial Design at the Folkwang School in Essen and was winner of the BraunPrize in 1972. He has been an industrial designer at Braun since 1973 and head of the Braun Design Department since 1995. Since 1999, he has been Chairman of the BraunPrize jury and responsible for the BraunPrize.


Alexander Manu, Principal Axis Group International, Toronto

Studied Industrial Design at the Institute for Fine Arts in Bucharest and received the academic title of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts (RCA). He founded the Axis Group International, Toronto, in 1980. He is designer, author, and Chair of Industrial Design at the Ontario College of Art and Design.


The BraunPrize has been supported by ICSID
the international Council of Societies of Industrial Design - since 1992.
