sh-2
‘sh-2’ is a concept for a one-person helicopter for use in the public and private arenas. In contrast to currently used helicopters, this helicopter features low production costs, low weight and reduced fuel consumption.
Due to the use of counter-rotating rotor propulsion, the tail rotor can be dispensed with for torque balance and foot-pedal-free control becomes possible via a guider. The helicopter’s overall geometry allows for generous openings on the sides and consequently a half-open construction, which communicates a feeling of safety without compromising the pilot’s need for mobility.
Possible areas of deployment of the ‘sh-2’ may include police operations for surveillance of major cities, cattle drives in vast terrains or private flights.
