  BraunPrize 1972
The BraunPrize for Technical Design was awarded for the third time on November 23, 1972, in Darmstadt. The jury awarded a prize of DM 5,000 for each of the three winning projects: the automated refuse container system created by the team of Lothar Brendgens, Ludwig Littmann, Wolfgang Rebentisch and Peter Schneider (Germany), the woodworking machine by Nicholas G. Marchant (UK) and the hospital bed by Mordechai Rotenberg (Israel).

Another seven entries, which were given a special mention by the jury, each picked up an award of DM 1,500.
