BraunPrize 1983
Sponsored by Braun AG to the tune of DM 35,000, the "BraunPrize for Technical Design" was presented at the "Institut für Neue Technische Form" in Darmstadt. The 1983 competition attracted 214 entrants from 20 countries. The jury awarded two prizes of DM 7,000 each for the domestic sewing machine by Roy S. W. Tam (Essex, UK), and the electric hand drill by Rudolf Michael Wieland from Stuttgart. Six projects which the jury selected for a special mention each received a prize of DM 3,500.
