Vision of Life
‘Vision of Life’ is a bathroom station that encourages reduction of water consumption as visualized in a digitally operated mirror. The mirror indicates the rate of water consumption by changing its surface. Additionally, the lighting color around the mirror will change from blue to yellow when the consumption becomes excessive, suggesting ‘a desert’, making users more aware of the consequence of wasting water. Besides visual effect, it will also play different audio effects, like stream water flow and desert storm.

Finding of the jury:
This idea introduces a new user experience during daily hygiene routine and serves a silent reminder of the increasing necessity to save our worlds natural resources. The jury realizes the environmental challenges of producing such mirror, but it could serve in a public location for the purpose of drawing attention. The physical design of the water outlet should be improved for better functionality, however the interesting approach to the topic of saving our resources is an unique idea.
